Robin performs live on Roy Waller’s BBC Radio Norfolk show
Robin was invited to perform live on Roy Waller’s radio show this week following the announcement of The Robin Phillips Sextet’s upcoming performance at the Sheringham Little Theatre in April. Robin performed Maple Leaf Rag and Monk’s Mood as solo pieces to demonstrate the variety that the ensemble will be playing at the gig. Robin and his six-piece ensemble will perform a special jazz programme at the Sheringham Little Theatre on 21st April. The programme entitled ‘Jazz Across the 20th Century’ will focus on the great composers of jazz music. In a packed programme the group will cover compositions by composers including Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Julian Joseph and EST.
