It was fantastic to perform live as well as provide professional audio support for Miller’s Music during their live stream events in 2021. Here’s the jazz duo performance we did for them:

We thoroughly enjoyed providing the professional audio for a poetry and music video for the online Electric Medway Festival in August, working to capture the sound of the cello (Natalie Rosario) whilst retaining clear vocal recording of the poetry of Jehane Markham, both occurring live and close to each other in an untreated room.

We really enjoyed merging our love of professional audio and pianos when we were asked to support Miller’s Music of Cambridge’s live streams and demonstration videos, providing all audio support for these events, and additional cameras in some.

It was great to be able to talk about the art of improvising (and play that lovely Bechstein!) as part of one of Miller’s Music live stream events.

It was a fantastic experience and a great test of everything we’d learned during lockdown to put on this jazz trio live stream from The Dog & Duck in Linton, Cambridgeshire.

The trio featured the regular Dog & Duck Jazz Trio of Robin Phillips, Louis Thorne (bass), and Jim Free (sax), with Robin producer and live-mixing the stream!

We’re delighted to announce that Robin is continuing with his move into more presenting by joining the team at Delux Radio, to present a weekly show called: ‘The Jazz Show With Robin Phillips’.

Each week Robin will share his passion for the jazz genre across the ages, as well as focussing on specific albums from his own jazz vinyl collection, showing how certain musicians crossed over between ensembles and albums, looking at his pick of books and films on jazz, and interviewing a different personality from the global jazz scene.

‘The Jazz Show With Robin Phillips’ first airs on Friday 19th March 8-10pm GMT and a new episode will be aired each Friday.
